RESULTS:

In the interest of strict confidentiality, test results are best given to the patient in person. Receptionists are not qualified to give results, so it is advisable to see the doctor who ordered the tests for the results.  An appointment can be made for this.
When tests are performed it is the patients responsibility to contact the clinic for an appointment.  Never assume that because you have not heard from the doctor or clinic that tests results are normal.

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS:

Requests for repeat prescriptions (without an appointment) are at the discretion of the doctor and may attract a $5.00-$10.00 fee payable at time of collection.

REMINDERS:

Our practice is committed to preventive care.  Your doctor will seek permission for you to be put on our reminder system.  We may phone and/or issue you a reminder letter from time to time appropriate to your care.  If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or reception know.

TELEPHONING THE DOCTOR:

We understand that there may be times when you need to speak to your regular doctor.  If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call returned at the doctor earliest convenience.

HOME VISITS:

Home visits are available for our regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the clinic.  These visits are at doctor's discretion.

AFTER HOURS CARE:

In an EMERGENCY, an ambulance should be called.  Phone 000.

Outside our normal operating hours, treatment is handled by The Valley Private Hospital Ph: 9795 7700, who will contact your doctor the following day.  A service fee will be charged.
